Excuse me, I'm makin' eggs

I started makin' eggs on Sunday, with twice daily shots of Gonal F, followed by nightly shots of Lupron and HCG, mixed in with a morning baby aspirin and prenatal vitamin, along with Expecta (fish oil substitute) and the nightly steroid.

Sunday was definitely a take-it-easy day. I got up and took the shot at 8 am, then did a few things, got tired, so went back to bed for an hour or so. I got up to go next door for some crafting, crafted for an hour or so, came home, laid down. I tried planting a few seeds in my garden but my body disagreed, so I went and laid down!

I woke up Monday with a headache sitting in the migraine spot at the back of my head. I haven't had a migraine in a long time. It wouldn't go away so I took a couple of Tylenol at work. That helped for a little bit but by the time I got home from work it was one of my full blown migraines. I took a couple Extra Strength Tylenol and called it a day. I think I was asleep around 9. Today...no headache! I'm thinking the headache was probably from the Gonal F and the amount of estrogen it is adding to my system.

I had to go to KC this morning for a blood test to check estrogen. I woke up at 4:30, wide awake, and laid in bed for a couple of hours. I had planned to leave home after my 8 am shot, but decided to get ready and then take the shot at the doctor's office. I was a little late getting out of the house, so had to stop at The Legends for my shot.

I got an email from Aimee at the clinic that my estrogen level is great, 108, and that I do not need to adjust the amount of Gonal F I am taking. I am on vial 2 of 3 of the Gonal F and will have to order at least one more (this is the expensive medicine...about $340 per vial, each vial is lasting 2 days so far).

Tonight I had bunco in the neighborhood, so decided I would pack my med's and take my shots at my neighbor's house during a quick break. Around 6 I was getting them ready, and when I went to the refrigerator for the two that are required to stay below a certain temperature, one was missing. After a pretty major melt down/freak out, we found it underneath the refrigerator....warm. It was the Lupron, which I've been on for a few weeks, that keeps me from ovulating...After more freaking out, I remembered it is also the med that I had ordered at Walgreens, then decided to get it from a different pharmacy for cheaper ($200 vs. $315). I called Walgreens and LUCKILY they still had it. Whew. That could have been the end of my cycle. Needless to say, the refrigerated meds are now in a protected drawer tucked away next to the cheese.

My next appointment is Friday for blood work and a scan to check for follicles.

2 weeks from today is the day they should transfer 2 embryos!!
